Beautiful Moments

My life is made up of beautiful moments strung together. Tonight I've decided to collect them. I have a new one to add to the collection. When I got back from my family's house tonight, I stayed in my car outside my apartment to continue listening to a book on tape. While the story was reaching a climax, I watched the trees above my neighbor's house glittering with fireflies. I don't think I've ever seen so many of them flashing at once. It was glorious.

The Wonder of Spring

Spring is absolutely at its peak now.  My neighborhood is simply radiant with azaleas, dogwoods, tulip trees, and every other kind of flower and blooming tree.  Today I sat in my car outside the pottery studio for at least ten minutes and stared at a huge tree with its tiny, delicate new leaves glowing with the evening light shining through them.  I felt like I couldn't take in the whole scene, it was too much to try to absorb.  When I did get out, it was simply amazing to walk past the tree and see every aspect of its beauty in three dimensions.
